    California Bills
    A searchable index to bills in the current (1999-2000) Legislature, and back to the 1993-94 sessions.

    California Statutes
    California Statutes are the Chaptered Bills. A bill is "chaptered" by the Secretary of State after it has passed through both houses of the Legislature and has been signed by the Governor or becomes law without the Governor's signature. Statutes are available starting from 1993. This site is maintained by the Legislative Counsel of the State of California.

    California Codes
    The official website for the codified laws of California. Once a bill is chaptered, it is coded so that all laws pertinent to one topic (example: Education) appear together. California Law consists of 29 codes, covering various subject areas, the State Constitution and Statutes. Information presented reflects laws currently in effect. This site is maintained by the Legislative Counsel of the State of California.

    California Code of Regulations
    Once a law is enacted, the governmental agencies implement them with regulations. The California Code of Regulations (CCR) Website contains the text of the regulations that have been formally adopted by state agencies, reviewed and approved by the Office of Administrative Law, and filed with the Secretary of State.
