Finding Books

LINK+ a fast book request service (typically takes 2-3 days) that allows you to borrow books from other colleges when they are unavailable at the Claremont College Libraries. This service is for books ONLY, not journal articles.

Melvyl the combined library catalogs of the UC campuses. These books may be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Worldcat in FirstSearch has holdings of most libraries in North America and some international. These books may be borrowed through ILL.

RLIN the combined library catalogs of several hundred research and special libraries (eg., museums and private research institutions). These books may be borrowed through ILL.

Tip: Most books on photography start with the call number TR and are at Honnold. Try browsing this section of the library to find books that interest you. Most encyclopedias on photographers and photographic techniques are in Honold Reference under the call number TR 139.
