Important special collections in science at Honnold/Mudd Library Special Collections--The Hoover Collection, the personal library of about one thousand volumes on the history of science collected by President Herbert Hoover and his wife, Lou Henry Hoover; and The Michael G. Wilson Collection specializing in finely printed books; and The James Carruthers Memorial Aviation Collection on Aeronautical History are all important collections to the sciences.

To gain access to the collections, contact Special Collections at the Honnold/Mudd Library.

Another important collection in the sciences is the A. O. Woodford Library, located in the Seeley G. Mudd Science Library on the Pomona College campus.  The A. O. Woodford Library is a special collection in the history of geology.  Materials in the A. O. Woodford Library are available only with the supervision of either the Science Librarian or Circulation Supervisor, and only during working hours, and not at all on weekends.  Scholars wishing to use the collection should call ahead to schedule their visit.
