Library Usage Policy for Alumni/ae of The Claremont Colleges

While our primary purpose is to serve the information, research, and study needs of current students, faculty, and staff of The Claremont Colleges, we also welcome alumni/ae use of the Libraries collections and facilities as specified in the Policy on Access to the Libraries. [This policy statement is also available in print from any Libraries service point.]

Alumni/ae who make more than occasional use of the Libraries may apply for a Libraries identification card. Entrance Cards are available for a $5.00 processing charge. Alumni/ae residing in southern California may apply for a Borrower's Card for an annual fee of $35.00. Applications for cards are accepted from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the Circulation Desk of Honnold/Mudd Library (909/621-8372).

Alumni/ae who visit the campuses infrequently may apply for a day pass at the Honnold/Mudd Library Information Desk on the day of their visit. Day passes are available for up to two days each semester with the summer recess treated as a third semester. There is no fee. Those alumni/ae with a unique set of circumstances or research needs requiring a longer period of access may contact the Director of Libraries or the manager of the collection to which access is needed to inquire about the possibility of special arrangements.

We appreciate your continuing support of the Libraries. If you have comments or questions about our policies or about services available to you, please contact the Director of the Libraries at the Honnold/Mudd Library or call 909/621-8045.
