Library Usage Policy for Area College and University Faculty and Students

While our primary purpose is to serve the information, research, and study needs of students, faculty, and staff of The Claremont Colleges, persons not affiliated with The Colleges are invited to use the Libraries collections and facilities as specified in the Policy on Access to the Libraries of The Claremont Colleges.

The Libraries have agreements for resource sharing or other purposes with the colleges and universities listed below. These agreements include reciprocal (no fee) faculty borrowing privileges. Currently enrolled students of these institutions may apply for borrowing privileges for a fee. Applications for Libraries cards are accepted 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Circulation Desk of the Honnold/Mudd Library (909/621-8372).

  • Faculty members from a participating institution must obtain the appropriate authorization form from the library at their institution. That form must be presented along with a faculty identification card at the Circulation Desk.
  • Students who are currently enrolled at a participating institution may apply for a Borrower's Card upon presentation of proof of current registration and a photo identification card. The annual fee is $75.00.
  • Please call the Office of the Director of Libraries, 909/621-8045 with questions or comments.
