Community Users of The Libraries of The Claremont CollegesWhile our primary purpose is to serve the information, research, and study needs of students, faculty, and staff of The Claremont Colleges, persons not affiliated with The Colleges are permitted to use the Libraries' collections and facilities as specified in the Policy on Access to the Libraries. Residents of Claremont and the surrounding cities of La Verne, Pomona, Montclair, and Upland may also apply for a Libraries identification card as outlined below. Applications for cards are accepted from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the Circulation Desk of Honnold/Mudd Library (909/621-8372). Claremont ResidentsAdult residents of Claremont may apply for either an Entrance Card or a Borrower's Card. Proof of residence (e.g., California driver's license, state identification card, utility bill, or voter registration showing a Claremont residence) is required.
Students who are enrolled at one of the high schools in Claremont may apply for a card after completion of an instructional session. The cards are valid only during the current school year. This program is offered in cooperation with the local high schools. Students should inquire at their high school for more information.
La Verne, Montclair, Pomona, and Upland ResidentsAdult residents (ages 18 and older) of LaVerne, Montclair, Pomona, or Upland may apply for a Borrower's Card for an annual fee of $100.00. Proof of residence (e.g., California driver's license, state identification card, utility bill, or voter registration showing a residence in one of these cities) is required.
